Born into mist on the delinquent sod of Ireland, monochromatic years painted gray by rain and deep rhetoric over a few smoky pints, compliments of the dole offered me little solace and so I absconded in search of halcyon, a global gypsy making home in lands such as Australia, Spain and now here searching for what I thought was a location when all along it was a state of mind.

I draw and paint part-time more out of passion than for gain. Art is the only activity that allows me to completely escape and transcend the mundane cyclic chores of daily existence, worlds recede, time ceases, desires die and the body’s auto-needs are suspended, there’s just me and the subject, a sublime ethereal singular state of being. I drop into open studios to draw from life when I can. Most of my art employs the crowning point of creation, the human form which never ceases to inspire me, the dynamics of the anatomy, the liquid curves of the female pose are sensationally rhythmic performing a still dance, a visual poem within an unfathomable index of gorgeous possibilities.

Beyond the pixelscape of this screen I exist, beneath a stone somewhere in San Diego with a loving resplendent family. There is futility in the abundance of words so enough. This site is about my art, my means of lucid vitality.
